Castel Sant'Angelo Rome
Limited edition art print of Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome. It was built in the 2nd century AD as the mausoleum for Emperor Hadrian but later used as a fortress for the popes. An elevated corridor links Castel Sant’Angelo to the Vatican City so that the popes could escape when the city was attacked. This drawing of Castel Sant’Angelo captures the view across the Tiber River and the outlined of the Ponte Sant’Angelo.
